Sunrise Elopement . Parker + Preston
What does it mean to Elope? In a world where everything is possible, it means whatever you want. The most prominent movement is a micro wedding, less than 20 people, and calling that an Elopement. Where these are what is becoming a little more normal, I still love a traditional elopement—a court house wedding and some photos after. Parker + Preston did just this. With both of them working in healthcare, the last two years have been pure chaos, the world around them was a million miles an hour, and these two didn’t have the time or the energy to give away from work. With that, they got married and made it short, sweet, and about their love. They did, however, want their families, themselves, and friends to have something to look back on. A physical day, experience, and moment to say, “We got married.” I have known Parker for a decade now, and it is a blessing to have watched along as she and Preston moved through their relationship. Holding the camera on their Elopement was an even more significant honor. It is always humbling to document friends and what feels like family weddings. It pushes me to find new ways of sharing their love, sharing their story that I have watched evolve into these beautiful and intimate moments.
To Parker and Preston, thank you. I am blessed to have been there documenting your story and documenting your confession of commitment to each other! For your trust and willingness to hike before sunrise for images that I knew we could get. Preston, I can’t wait to grab our next beer and chat through what the next shoot ideas you have will be! Parker, I can not wait to continue celebrating your wins and your relationship with Preston.
